3.topology takes logical designs into the physical world. Topology sheets created at any scale can be added to the overall E3.series project. Sheets can represent a vehicle’s chassis or a plant’s layout. ​

Subsystem installation spaces such as the dashboard or control panels are easily added to the topology sheets.​

Define connection pathways between installation spaces and place components in the spaces. The connections between these installation spaces represent harness routes or cable trays. Alternate views of logical devices in the same project are placed into the relevant installation spaces.​

As the detailing process continues, the schematic’s signal logic and wiring information is automatically shown in the topology view. The harnesses or cable trays start to be automatically defined. Inline devices are easily added, and alternate configurations can be tested quickly. Special reports detail the routes, including cost and weight estimates.

E3.formboard is a complete solution for creating wiring harness drawings for manufacturing. On any sheet size, one or more manufacturing drawings can be created. Automatic functionality makes placing, arranging, and dimensioning the harness and its segments easier. There is a complete integration of E3.cable and E3.formboard. With E3.series top-down or bottom-up design approach, projects can either start with the logical interconnection data or the harness layout.

Digitally Assisted Commissioning

E3.WiringChecks supports testing a fully wired machine, vehicle, or control cabinet before or during the commissioning phase. Document the testing results as part of the E3.series data record. All relevant departments, from engineering to production, can access the error descriptions and assign issues to correct. With the data, teams can create a controlled process for error correction and follow-up checks.

DC Functional Analysis and Circuit Checks

E3.eCheck is an extension to E3.series that enables users to functionally analyze their electrical schematic circuits and check designs for fuse and wire sizing errors. The utility works in real-time and provides instant feedback on the operability of the circuit design.

The Zuken Component Cloud for E3.series is provided through cooperation with CADENAS, a leading provider of online component libraries. Libraries are provided directly by the manufacturers of the respective electronic components. Each library entry is classified into one of three qualification levels.
